Neiwa Declaration 10 December 2021
On 9 and 10 December 2021, NEIWA held its 6th meeting virtually “in Dublin” and adopted the Dublin declaration. In the declaration NEIWA encourages all Member States that do not meet the transposition deadline to complete the transposition without further delay, not only to the wording, but also with a full-hearted recognition of the spirit of the Directive. NEIWA furthermore emphasized that important elements of the Directive have direct effect within national legislation in Member States where the transposition has not yet occurred, in the relationship between citizens and the state (in the broadest sense possible).
